Finally felt the impulse to watch this dvd tonight on “the secret” which had been the hype some years ago. watching it now has been one of those moments where i felt like “the secret” came into my life at just the right time; any earlier and i may have not fully grasped all the concepts. i agree with the ideas. i don’t really get why they had to make it all scary though (probably to hype it up and get people’s attentions).
“the secret” is not really a secret. it’s just the name/label that these people have put on it which in a way makes it easier to talk about. the ideas are definitely everything i have experienced, worked through, and discovered to be true in my own life and spiritual journey. it’s about many things, all that has to work with the law of attraction (which is the secret): putting your mind to your goals and desires; sending out positive energy (thoughts/feelings) and believing in yourself and trusting the universe will aid you (because there is enough to go around); loving yourself; having joy, inner peace, freedom, love, abundance; etc.
There are a lot of ideas here and it is definitely possible that people could misunderstand the concepts and its essence. i’m saying, be open to it and see what u can learn from it. it’s definitely some good information to think on. i know, for me, i can be better at being more optimistic about the things that I want. if i don’t think i can get it, then i’m definitely not. it doesn’t hurt to be optimistic and believe that I will get what i want; and if i put my mind to it, i will get it (as the universe sees fit).
just don’t be misled by all the scary music and images they put in this dvd (which are pretty annoying). also, bear through it. i was very skeptical watching it in the beginning but it gets better, in my opinion.
