the best thing you can do for yourself
i’ve been getting into meditation more this year and its benefits are so wonderful that i had to write a post about it. i’m not an expert on meditation but i know that i reap its benefits. i recommend guided meditations; they help me focus and stay motivated to do it.
meditation not only calms me down because i’m breathing more and bringing more oxygen into my body, but i become present with myself again. I am accepting and mindful of my worries and thoughts and they don’t consume me anymore. I’m not drowning in negative emotions; instead i’ve come to peace with them. I am accepting of my present state. and amongst the muck i’m going through, i rediscover love, acceptance, peace and happiness that is already inside of me. mindful meditation is a beautiful thing.
